SUMMARY OF ROLE

To support the Head of Care in the effectively manage the nursing and to plan, implement, supervise nursing case for all residents within the home, working with and supporting the registered nurses to be able to provide a need led service to residents using the service by adopting a person centered approach that fosters self-awareness, personal growth and gives each person the strongest voice with regards to decision making and lifestyle choices. JOB SUMMARY

To operate a safe, professional and cost effective catering service within the company operational standards and complying with all statutory requirements.
  • To provide a menu plan that is nutritious, wholesome and provides a well-balanced diet for all residents in consultation with residents, relatives and nursing staff.
  • To cater for specialised dietary requirements, ie vegetarian, diabetic, reducing, liquidised & soft etc
  • To assist the Head Chef in the ordering and stock control of all foods, drinks and catering equipment, including cleaning products used in the kitchen and the home in a cost effective way using nominated and approved suppliers and to negotiate the best value.
  • To assist the Head Chef to recruit suitable kitchen staff and provide training for them to ensure the efficient running of a catering service which runs seven days a week.
